Second Battalion rule, host doesn't take trophy so the rest can. Works out rather nice being able to make sure everybody takes home one.

Has been in effect for many years, makes it a better competition, even though we are never in the top 3!

Insures the Freeport Marching Machine lets someone else win once every six years. Keep an eye on the Beach, moving up to fourth this year was no accident.

Would be nice if freeport and oceanside can host a joint parade one year so they both cant be judged hey you automatically figure oceanside and freeport to take 1st and 2nd so 3rd is like 1st place.

the 2nd Batt was a pretty good parade and if i do say so myself LB looked pretty good! they had a few guys calling the cadence who actually care!
