These are the totals for extrications performed throughout Nassau County for 2008 where ESU may have operated only, ESU & FD, or just FD operating only. To make it easier, all pins were broken down into who's fire district it was located in. If any spreaders, cutters, rams, or airbags were utilized in any form for extrication, including "door pops", then it will be included in the list. Also, if there happens to be any corrections or additions that need to be made just let me know. I will try my best to be as accurate as possible. These totals will be updated daily.

I was thinking about this. How bout, instead of Extrication Totals, just make it Extrication Tool Use. So basically, anytime the tool is put to work - door pop, dash, heavy extrication, etc. Might clear up a few misconceptions.
...Door pops are NOT extrications. Just cause the spreaders or combi comes off the truck doesnt make it an "extrication".... 9 outta 10 are door pops, victim(s) just cant get out on their own, and 7 outta 10 are RMA's....
wow i dont see franklin square up there on the list thank god they got that new rescue rig w/ the radiation detector. i hope a clown car doesn't crash into that truck full of radioactive widgets, on Dogwood Ave and Propp Ave. Why doesn't FS&M FD take out a full page add in Newsday promoting the fact that they will be able to operate at such an incident !
