This is my own personal appeal to the thousands of people that read and post on the Rant everyday. We ALL owe a heck of alot to the Rant Boss. Just for coming up with the idea as a start. It's only been a few years but man how the Rant has grown. If not for the hard, hard work of the Rant Boss (and Val), we would have one less thing to go and read everyday. One less way of communicating around the Nassau fire service. Getting ideas passed from one department to another, just trying to make the volunteer fire service a much better place. And he does it all for free and I'm sure there are some expenses for running a board like this. He doesn't charge any of us one penny and all he ever asked from us was to make a donation to something he holds close to his heart.I could go one and on.
The purpose of the post is a personal appeal to everybody to make a donation to Keith's blueprint. I know the Boss has had an advertisement on here for quite awhile asking for donations and also had a target amount he was aiming for. Yes, the Boss reached his target but the fund raiser could use some more. Nothing says we all can't donate a few dollars more to go way past the limit. I offered my services to the Boss, told him if there is anything I can do the day of the golf outing, besides golfing. His answer was, he could use some more donations and he is looking for tee sponsors. The Boss really deserves a little giving back from all of us just to say Thanks for all you do for all of us. PLEASE take a second and either make a donation or contact the Boss by PM and offer to be a sponsor.

Myself and Keith's brothers at the Seaford FD thank everyone who braved the weather and came out to swing the sticks with us on Monday. Despite forecasts calling for a 100% chance of downpours the whole time, it only drizzled for perhaps 10 minutes out of the whole round -- someone up there was looking out for us. By all accounts everyone had a great time (except for the one guy crying in the tent on 17 that it was too cold...wow, MAN UP, BROTHER!)...we're hoping the golf course allows us back again next year

I also want to thank everyone on here who generously donated funds to help us meet the Rant's very ambitious goal of raising $2,500 on here alone -- I am blown away by the tremendous support.

Additional thanks to the Massapequa and Wantagh guys who showed up in force (Shawn E. check your email), and to ex4100 who sponsored a hole, provided raffle items and brought golfers...and also to any other Ranters who showed up but chose to remain anonymous (or waited to introduce themselves until after the late cocktail hour libations started taking effect, in which case you're probably still anonymous to me ).

It was not that cold when the wind was not blowing on you, we almost made through the outing with out rain. But we got the Golf in and that is what counts. Once again great JOB Done bye the Rant & Seaford FD.

Nice job done by all Seaford FD and the Rant had a good time, golf was great, beats work. I would like to thank the Kern Ladies for doing a great job with the food Kudos Ladies. The weather wasn't great but the cause was. Stay Safe I'll be there next year can't wait.
