Default 2353 involved in MVA, 02/20/07              Go to Top

2353 involved in an MVA Herricks Road Vicinity of Sparta Diner. 2353 operator minor injuries & transported to hospital, other vehicle operator RMA.
Looked as though both 2353 and tractor trailer were heading south on Herricks and truck moved over to right into lane where 2353 was traveling causing damage to front and left side of ambulance, Tractor trailer had damage from hitting ambulance and then more damage from hitting a telephone pole.
Wishing the AMT a speedy recovery.

Figures it can't be the old almost out of service ambulance. It always has to be the new one.

Can't confirm yet, but I heard that this was the same bus that hit building a while ago, just came back from being repaired......I'm not a auto body guy, but I'd be surprised from seeing the damage if the county will fix it this time.

Well, if they remount it again, maybe they could put crash bars, diamond plate and some steel spikes a la "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" on the damned thing. Also, have we considered having a priest throw some holy water around the box? Just some suggestions... :P

Figured out the bad luck part. When you add the numbers in 2353 up, 2+3+5+3= 13. That explains it.
