Now, ya have to laugh at this....
Buffs from the other side of the world can see what buildings we're going into via goolemaps, google earth, etc...
Our own county offers a website with pics & general "specs" of a building (
www.mynassauproperty.com) (even though might be a few yrs old)
Yet, this info isnt "presented" to dispatchers, OIC's, incoming units, etc....
Does anyone else see a problem with this?
How does Newsrag have a layout & pic of the building before we get there?
Why does the XYZ building dept not notify the local
FD that the "floors are open" or any other major alterations?
Why do the people that VOLUNTEER not have instant access to said info?
John Q Buff from Kalamazoo gets a picture & layout of a house via mynassauprop, yet I dont?!?!
I'm by no means a computer geek, but, the info transmitted via airwaves, wi-fi, "air cards", cell phone, yada yada might prove invaluable one day.
