there are your dept's tones (chief general,rescue, etc) then there are the "wake up"tones (they follow the cheif,rescue etc), then there is the alert tone (used to get your attention...signal 10, another run, urgent message)
it sounds like you are talking about your dept tones. no?
I believe Hewlett is currently using their backup tones and it sounds like a Nintendo game at the end. I don't listen to all that many but that one always sticks out. Maybe W2LIE could make up a clip of all the county tones for us to compare.

nope that is Hewlett's actual tones, they finished up their new console already

Yes ours is the most annoying one out there every time my V goes off i want to slam it into the wall and watch it die..

I like the opening page of the longisland fire alarm website with West Hempstead tones and the horns going off. This will be off topic but i also like listening to old time firecom dispatchers like 4,9 and 19 dispatch calls.
