We're discussing Anyone have a Scanner for sale??????
Im looking for a desk scanner for sale I have a handheld scanner but its terrible PM if anyone has anything
Just out of curiosity, what HH are you using?
I purchased a BC350a and my Scannermaster book from Scanerworld. I was passing Albany and it was a good excuse to see the shop. You'll pay NYS tax and shipping if you order through them.
You may want to try Advanced Specialties in NJ. I picked up my BR330t from there, they had it to me next day.
Also, If you don't mind waiting, I deal w/ a guy in KS that has great prices.. National Electronics.
Also, there are a few ham fests (Flea Market) coming up in our area. Its a crap-shoot if you'll find anything good.. but sometimes you'll get lucky!
If you are up for it but it might be some work involved and may have to wait a bit but you can get them off of Ebay also for very good prices, I just bought a few off of there the past few weeks and it has been pretty good so far. A lot have the Buy it Now feature so you don't have to wait until the bidding has ended
out of like anyone here, w2 would have the best advice for scanners...
from my experience, i personally like the Uniden BCD996T. I love the "Close Call RF Capture" feature that picks up strong close radio signals (since i listen to airplanes with it too) and the pc control and programming feature (really easy to program the frequencies i want to hear, like the 46's and other frequencies.)
I don't really use it that much and actually i have a friend that's buying it off of me... i really use my uhf radio to listen to fire and police (46 x-band's and police frequencies), and airplanes i can just get online now or i can use my handheld scanner.
