It is with deep regret that the Officers & Members of the Bayville Fire Company announce the untimely passing of Honorary Chief Edward "Butch" Ellison.

He will be reposing at the:

Oyster Bay Funeral Home
261 South Street
Oyster Bay, NY 11771

Wednesday 10/22 & Thursday 10/23 @ 3:00 to 5:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM
Firematic Services Thursday @ 8:00 PM

Funeral Mass at St. Gertrudes Church, Bayville Avenue, Bayville on Friday 10/24 @ 10:00 AM
Burial to follow at the Bayville Cemetery

He was a devoted Life Member and Honorary Chief of Bayville Fire Company as well as a proud Veteran of the US Army.

The Ellison family is a fixture through the history of the Bayville Fire Company. Butch's son David is a current Lieutenant of the BFC as well as a Firefighter in the FDNY. Butch has cousins that are also members of Bayville as well as the Glen Cove Fire Department.

Sad day for the fire service as we lost a well respected long time member today.

RIP Butch, I will miss you.
