Yes, you are trained to stop a bleeding wound, but the only stabilization you can do as a
CFR is with your hands whether its holding the head in place to protect the C-Spine or holding a broken arm/leg with your hands in place until an
EMT/Medic can put a temporary brace on it. You will not be trained to package a victim from a car accident into a KED or backboard, but you can check with the EMS agency you are associated with to see if they will allow you to do so.
