i was at work in Huntington and the weather was nuts, just as i was about to leave lighting struck my parking lot about 15ft away from the door.

received a report from weather service - a water spout was spotted near llyod harbor, probably the pics from above near bayville.

For f*cks sake, nothing ever happens here on the south shore.
Got home from work and it was about 75, sunny, with a slight breeze from the west. Damn near perfect for August.

From "mid-south" Nassau....

...It was BEAUTIFUL out as the north shore got battered...

...A few rumbles of thunder from the distance was enough to clear out TOH pools, and the "light show" around 830-9pm tonight made for some good viewing.

I dont wish bad weather or malice to anyone, but I havent seen a good storm 'round these parts in a while.

i woke up to thunder at around noon thinking we were getting hit with a storm but i go outside and it was sunny and cloudless with thunder...very strange

lol...there's been at least one bad storm up here each week for the last 3 weeks.
