Originally we (Farmingdale) received the rescue for an electricution at the Howitt Jr Hs but ended up being at the Farmingdale HS in South Farmingdales Fire District. Since we got out right away we ended up going to the High School. The person received an electrical shock from a light ballast. Aided was alert upon our arrival. Now South just went out again for another one.

Yes, this AM (7/9/07). The original cross streets for the school didn't line up either. Once it was learned that the incident was in SF, 920's chief, bus and a 14A redirected to the correct location.

There was also a second similar type incident at the Farmingdale HS on Woodward Parkway this afternoon and NCPD ambulance 2378 transported to NCMC making a trauma notification through medical control.

News 12 is stating the first aided was a student who was locking his bicycle at the bike rack. The 2nd aided was the school electrician who was checking the rack after the first incident.

The call was originally given to firecom as the Farmingdale Schools Administration bldg at 50 VanCott Ave...and do you want to know why? Because on their 911 screen the phone number came back to that address, as do all phones in the district...they read to whos name the phone is in, but 911 regularly does not cross check the info, they just take the 911 screen as gospel...before the new technology, cops and FD would regularly get sent to cell towers that 911 cell phone calls would come back to...now someone was saying something about where delays are?

Yeah I know I dispatched it for Farmingdale - 50 Van Cott Ave use the Woodward Pky entrance, but gotta dispatch it if the primary address is in your district.

That whole cell tower thing is messed up b/c I think the closest cell phone tower we have to the Village is in Suffolk Count in East Farmingdale. So anything close goes to FRES or Babylon Central then to Fire Comm if Babylon Central didn't notifiy us direct. I've dispatched a couple of fires already given to me by Babylon Central through a cell phone.
