I saw an ESU truck ( black and white) coming from Jersey the other day and it had the Rockville Centre PD door decal on it! Is that going to go to an ESU unit or is it someone elses?

Fupayme, NYPD didn't have "black & white" cars per se, although the Transit Police did. But NYPD did have cars that were a combo of dark-green, black, and white in the 1950's & 60's thru 1972. Since then, they've always had some combo of white and blue. So you say they are planning to go to black & white cars in the near future?

Makes little sense if RVCPD were getting one because I believe RVCFD is due for a new heavy rescue this fall. Did hear though that the village of rockville center is starting a volunteer ambulance corp. to take the fd out of ambulance response.

I've always liked the light blue ones. They have a sorta unique look to them.
What is the purpose of a small village needing an ESU unit? and why are 3 members of the county ESU being sent there, especially when the village of RVC has made it clear they want nothing to do with any outside resources ie ESU,PD,EAB...
There must be something to it if EAB is sending over a supervisor and a few AMT's to get the corp started. I'm not normally one to spread rumors, but this sounded real.
