It's a tough thing to tell someone that they have to work out and prepare for something that might not happen. Too many people get a list number that they don't feel is going to get called and they don't work out for the physical and for probie school. Then by the grace of God they get called and are either unable to
pass the medical because they cannot get their heart rate down, or they have a really hard time in probie school because they are so out of shape. If anyone even thinks that they have the remote possibility of getting hired, they should be working out like crazy. You really cannot feel sorry for someone who isn't able to
pass the medical (unless they have a medical condition) simply because they're out of shape. If you have a higher list number then you have more than enough time to be working out. Be it guys who eat like crap, smokers, etc. Who's to blame when you don't get the job?
