they are really good for coffee on the fly...use it all the time at work for making a cup or two. be careful about getting too many different flavored cups, they tend to blend it all together and make your coffee taste kind of crappy. very fast and convenient, and you can get the "k cups" pretty cheap if you shop around online...they even have certain kinds at costco/bjs.
perhaps one of the best purchases i ever made. love the coffee, green mountain. depends on the brewer you get but the one with the water reservoir is pretty fast and the coffee is very good.
We have them at work and I buy all of our coffee from thecoffeeconnect.com all of there boxes have 24 cups instead of the 18 the stores have. Great company to deal with.
got one for my birthday the are great the one i got came from BJ s and had 80 k cups included. also has a timer so it can be set to turn on and off for you plus has a timer so if u run out of the house it shuts of anytime you set it for..
We got one at work, and then I got one for the wife's birthday a few weeks later. They're sooo good I didn't get any crap for giving her an appliance for her birthday!
Cheapest place to get the K-cups I've found is Amazon.com. You have to buy the boxes in 2 packs and they don't have all the variety but if they carry what you like you can set up a subscription and get automatic deliveries with free shipping and a 15% discount.
I like the blue led that illuminates the water reservoir. Sometimes if its not a perfectly even surface it can be a bit noisy. Ive heard ppl say that its not hot enough also. I guess 192degrees isnt good enough. For the most part its good. The hot coco isnt bad.
I bought a B60 for myself for Christmas at the end of 2007. An excellent investment. I also got the "My K-Cup" that allows me to use it with ground coffee. When I have time to cleanup, it is much cheaper to use ground Starbucks coffee (3 1/2 grind setting at the store) with it then to use a K-Cup. Also for descaling it, I would recommend following Keurig's advice and getting a couple of packets of Urnex Dezcal. It is a concentrated powder that works well in hard-water areas. You can use vinegar as the manual states but it is not as effective as the descaling product.
As for the cheapest place to get K-Cups, my Sister who is a bargain hunter and also has one, found a distributor on Smith Street in Farmingdale called Filter Fresh. They are only open normal business hours, which can be difficult to get to if you work during the day. They sell the 24-packs for $10.45/each. You can also order them online but you would have to pay shipping. Their website is at Filterfresh Coffee : NY's Premiere Office Refreshment Ordering Site. I have never been there as she lives in Farmingdale and is able to get my supplies for me
I have the Tassimo. Its similar to the Keurig machine, but i feel like it has more selections and better brands of coffee to use. It uses T-discs. I know the Tassimo can brew all different hot drinks including Expressos. Not sure if the Keurig machine does or not. I like what i have although it does take a while to brew at times.
