i was trying to go to mrcy as little as possible anyway. the ER is so poorly organized it takes way to long to get your patient triaged. the ER staff just looks at ya while they figure out that they have to do something. in example i brought them a non traumatic back pain. it took 30 minutes to talk to me, and 15 more to find a stretcher, 45 minutes total triage time (there were 7 empty and made i counted just looking around from the triage desk).

not saying other hospitals are perfect, but it's the only place i ever have that much trouble with on a regular basis

It's not even a Trauma Center much less a Level I.

After Mercy falls the ones that are in the area are Winthrop, South Nassau, NUMC

I can say from the eastern part of Nassau...Hospitals are falling apart...Our only trauma choice is NUMC. New Island and North Shore Plainview are constantly packed and there is always await....There are rumors that New Island is having problems. North Shore Plainview is doing triage while the patient is still on our stretcher and that is killing our turn around time, especially if there is a line of stretchers in front of us....I dont have an answer but I feel bad for you guys on the south west if you have to start going up to North Shore Manhassett and Winthrop especially if its at rush hour....and the 14H is not available....

Franklin Hospital Medical Center has com a long way from what it was. They are a busy hospital E/R, and you might have to wait a while, but the treatment has come along way from when it was Franklin General.

Jamaica Hospital should become more of a consideration for the 3rd batt/4th/5th pct.. Trauma patients have been brought there before by NCPD previously, Its not a great alternative during the daytime due to traffic.. You are going to see SNCH overwhelmed even more, since mercy is getting away from trauma, And When SNCH is jam packed they will go on trauma diversion anyways,...

Considerations for Pedi will be Schneiders, and Winthrop.. And adult, consider jumping on the Cross Island to Manhasset.. And of course if its between 7am-and 11pm and the sun is shining, in the second cylce of the moon lining up with the tides of australia, you can call for a helicopter...

Also you can consider checking on the status of SCPD, or NYPD, during the off hours of NCPD..
