They come with the Dept initials engraved on them. Maybe Motorola does it. The only thing I don't like is that when on vibrate mode, it just vibrates but no voice comes on. The older pagers had vibrate and voice. Also we don't have 46.20 so I can't turn to channel B and buff if I hear fire horns. Channel A B C & D is just for our Dept scan.

with mine as soon as its done vibrating usually additional tones follow a sec later and then you hear the dispatcher.

When I was cutting the lawn the other day, I had it on vibrate. It vibrated but no voice. I heard the horns and so I new we had a General. Our old Minitor IV had vibrate with voice.

Are the pagers doing that stored voice? The SV Minitor IVs my EMS squad at school uses have two vibrate settings, one normal, one where it vibrates and doesn't let the voice through, until you press the replay button.

mine is programed as so
A ------ is all calls in my dept ( Day time )
B ------ is only my zone calls ( bed time )
C ------ is vibrate WITH VOICE
D ------ is 10 and 32
