At a recent MVC - overturn. After the victim was removed its noted that on this particular mini-van - I believe was a Chrysler, there was a rear or center A/C unit on the interior ceiling. The hoses for the unit ran up the drivers side B post. The B post was considerably wide, which most would tend to attribute to structural stability. This may be the case, however in this situation, it was also wide enough to house the 2 lines for the A/C unit.

Before cutting, the person on the inside with the patient should remove interior moldings to reveal any hazards such as this. Other hazards include high pressure cylinders connected to the head impact bags, pre-tensioner devices and possibly fuel lines.

Two good tools to carry for accidents are a flat head screwdriver to remove the moldings and a big black sharpie if you need to mark locations of secondary airbags or other devices.
