I just want to say thankyou to my fellow ranters it has been fun talking to you guys everyday. But on a sad note today marks the sixth year of the terroist attacks. I am writing this thread just to say becareful especially to our firefighters and police officers who knows what could happen with this being the Sixth Anniversary of this horrific day. This is certainly a hard day for me I was only in my department for five years and I have seen my share of fatal car accidents and other terrible tradgedy 9-11-01 had to be the worse yet I have ever seen I was on the pile at Ground Zero two days after this tradgedy took place it is a scene I will never forget I know it is the same thing for anyone else on this board who responded. What made it even worse for me was that I lost five instructors from the Nassau County Fire School who I will never forget and these gentlemen were also my probie school instructors eleven years ago. To Brian Hickey , Tommy Langone , George Howard , Robert DeAngelis and Durell Pearsall it was not only an honor to know you guys but it was also an honor to work with you guys. Unfortunately your lives and many other firefighters , police officers and civillians were cut short by a bunch of cowardly scumbags who have no passion for life and they took the lives of innocent people who were doing the right thing by helping other employees and civillians out of the Twin Towers on that day. To my fellow ranters please becareful out there today and every day at work. God Bless You my fellow ranters and to the families of all the victims God Bless you also my thoughts and prayes are with all of you guys.

I would like to say this I was watching channel 7 news last night at 11:00 and the top story was families get thrown out of their apartments in Harlem and had maybe had 2minutes of footage about 9/11 I would think that would have been a top story seeing that it was the sixth anniversary of this event where have peoples morals gone save the apartment evictions for 15 minute into the broadcast as one family member of a victim stated it is amazing how some people after six years just take it as another day.

Its sad but true, most of America has moved on... people forget. The young generation is getting older now and most of them either didn't live through 9-11 or were too young to realize what was going on when it did happen. Well ladies and gentleman, it is our responsibility to teach these kids what happened on that day. It is up to us to share stories and first hand experiences with the kids of America today. 9-11-01 will slowly start to enter textbooks in schools across America as it is now history. And history is all that it is to many Americans, a true shame if you ask me. We can not let anyone forget what happen to our country that day. We were attacked and many innocent people lost their lives, they were murdered. TIME is moving too fast, 6 years was a blink of an eye ago for many of us.

Twenty years from now when today's kids are this countries future, we have to make sure they understand what happen to us and how it affected us loved ones, us New Yorkers and us as Americans. I know I will continue to talk about 9-11-01 till the day I die, especially to the youths of America. Never Forget. God Bless America.
