USA Flag ncpd AMT Agility Testing              Go to Top

Hi,

Can anyone explain what stations are setup for this testing or what to expect?

I was told there is some type of a stair chair carry, but couldn't find any additional info.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Agility test? Why do AMT's have to complete an agility test, but EMT's don't?

Taxi's recollections are probably better than mine, but when I did it (coming up on 20 years now, type II ambulances, Thumpers, lol) we also had to do one rescuer CPR for a long period of time, I'm not sure, might have been five minutes, and keep the rate up for the entire time. A lot of guys, myself included, had to go twice because we didn't heed the warning to keep the compression rate up for the entire test period.
Have they taken that part out?
Good luck to all, more good AMTs are always needed!
Be Safe!

Stackup your right, I forgot about that, as it was a miserable experience. And I checked it is still a requirement also. 5 minutes 1 rescuer cpr
