NCPD car 623 was in an MVA that occurred i/v/o 333 East Shore Rd. Two passengers in vehicle that struck RMP fled after impact. Driver drove car to vicinity of 175 E Shore Rd, bailed out of car which struck a tree at that location. Crime scene and detectives notified. Aviation and canine called for perp search.

One last pic... P.S. the pics were courtesy of Ex Chief Mercadante who was on heavy rescue 8730... He reports that it appears that 623 was involved in pursuit of a G35 when he crashed, and the G35 occupants bailed prior to it crashing... our thoughts and prayers are with the NCPD officers and their families hurt today
