I'm sure you guys have an answer to this - anyone here know of a few websites that have pictures of Nassau Dept's in action - I know there are a few but can't find them right now - also - any links to pics or actual pics of Paul Brady's funeral from Malverne ??
it would be nice to see some sights dedicated to the north shore or mid-island depts. bill and fred have got the south shore well taken care of. it would be nice to see action & apparatus shots of those depts.
I would just like to say "THANK YOU" to Bill and Fred for putting their work out there for everyone to see. I'm sure it takes them a substantial amount of time and effort to run those web sites. I enjoy both of them very much. They are both great photographers.
More importantly these guys are willing to share their work with all of us. And I agree that we need some North Shore coverage.
Don't forget it takes alot of money also, KEG. These guys are out there day and night doing a thankless job. We appreciate all they do for us, we just don't always let them know.
There are plenty of photograhers out there taking pics everyday. Alot of them make it to Firenews and First Responder. Heck, that's how these guys started out. Get some North Shore people to start a web site. Fireman didn't ask these guys to start web sites. They saw what was needed and did it.
My wish, is a dedicated crew at News 12, available 24/7 to just cover the fire service here on the island. We get didly coverage on weekends. They just don't have crews on duty that give us coverage. We deserve better.
Thanks to Fred, Bill, Jack, Harry (L), Harry (D), Lou and the many others from Nassau that make us look good doing a dirty job.
When I go up to Onondaga County their news channels are there sometimes before water is even on the fire. They get great coverage and never seems to be any bashing.
