NEW YORK (Reuters) - Rupert Murdoch's News Corp (NYSE:NWS) is withdrawing its $580 million bid for Tribune Co's Newsday newspaper, a spokesman for the company said Saturday, leaving cable television operator Cablevision (NYSE:CVC) as the likely winner of the Long Island daily.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was Assrags only chance of becoming legitimate(at least in my eyes) I would have loved hearing the nashing of teeth and pulling hair out by the roots if FOXNEWS owner Rupert Murdoch had bought Assrag and changed the political tone of the paper
