Default Newsrag called for a subscription?????              Go to Top

A lady from newsday called the emergency line to the firehouse. I answer with the time first and the department like a normal emergency answer and she starts to talk asking me if i want a subscription to Newsrag. I told her this was a emergency line to a fire department and to please hang up and she keeps going saying its cheaper for a home delivery.Again i told her this is a firehouse a we dont like newsrag and again she keeps going. Finally i said Newsrag sucks and hung up on her and it felt good. Just had to tell a funny story . Lets go Mets

sad thing is they probably use an outside sollicitor, who's probably in another state, and has no clue why they are getting yelled at, and none of it gets back to the douchebags at the rag anyway

Yup, Texas. We got about 15 calls from them here at work.

The telemarketers want no one to waste their time, that's pretty good. I think it was Seinfeld that asked, "Has anyone ever bought anything from these people?".

Arent telemarketers able to contact you through your cell phone if you dont have some privacy plan as well?

And i heard even if you do have the plan to block them, some of them have an expiration date in fine print so when the time runs out, the phone calls continue to roll in...

The call list expired I think. I am sure I read somewhere that you have to re-register
