I would like to say good luck to all those I spent 6 months with at the EMS academy! And a big thank you to the Instructor...you know who you are!
For those that read this thread who are thinking about taking the class I highly recommend it.
The first day of EMT school 18 yrs ago they told us to learn how to spell so when we present ourselves in a professional setting we don't look incompetent Imagine you are at court in front of your peers and your PCR that you are presenting as evidence has a lot of spelling errors---We have legal responsibilities to our pt,dept, employer, medical director and the public. We are susceptible to Civil and criminal law. How will we look if we can't even spell and our best defense against a negligent lawsuit is competency?
Agreed, that I would take the Medic with skill and bedside manner over the medic who writes with flair, and holy cow there's a spell check on here? LOL
