the New York State Local and State Police test is given every November which is used for numerous departments throughout the state...thats why there was so many different departments giving it...only very few of the larger departments pay to have their own test given
There were about 40 departments on that one exam, makes it really easy for people who take more than one test, but very expensive.
Yeah it does make it easier, third time I took it in that format, A few years back I applied for three tests, State University Police, Long Beach PD and White Plains PD, so it was nice to take only one test for all three. The only bad part is you get one score for all the jobs you applied for so if you do bad on one you do bad on all.

The STATE POLICE exam is every 3 to 4 years. Not every year.
I feel bad for whoever took the Long Beach PD test, I am sure they appreciate your donation. I'm sure they appreciated mine when I took the Long Beach FD test, they already know who they are hiring.
