Two lanes of the westbound Long Island Expressway were closed for about 30 minutes in Nassau County Tuesday

Nassau County Police reported that a truck caught fire near Exit 46, Sunnyside Boulevard, closing two lanes of the LIE from 7:17 a.m. until 7:47 a.m.

The fire also caused a traffic back-up that stretched past Exit 48, Round Swamp Road, to the Nassau-Suffolk border.

It was unclear what caused the fire, police said.
