Not sure how far the rocks are off shore. Fire Com. stated the boat restarted and was heading to the Manhasset Bay Marina. 8502 redirected 8513, 8518 and 8522 to that location on a signal 12.

We launched 85 Screaming Eagle - found the disabled vessel approx 1/2 mile off shore at Plumb Pt - total of 4 POB's - all were o.k. - NCPD towed the boat back to MICA Beach Club. FYI- NO Harbor Unit avail - all seasonal employees are gone and the (2) full time guys are Mon-Fri 730-330 only - (that works!) (and if there not at the target range getting firearm practice)
Also - CG releyed info that the boat was underway again - NOT true - however, the sailboaters didnot have a VHF - only a cell phone (hence the call to 911 and the notification system worked) (there's one in a row....)
Nice job

I thought a boat had to have a radio to be USCG legal.
