Well Slim, I have a few one-line quotes like that about Conservatives, but I'd rather avoid running the risk of offending anyone here and starting something, that's not productive for anyone. I willing to agree with you on that but that does not make everything she has said in the past wrong.
Slim, these types of statements bothered me much more before the election. Now, its clear they are the opinions of a shrinking minority of Americans who would quote Anne Coulter.
If the Republicans can't beat "the most liberal Senator ever" who they claim is a Muslim and his best friends are terrorists and he has the middle name "Hussein" ... well, what the heck does that say about Republicans?
By the way, I think its plain-old silly to say a strong majority (approximately 53%) of Americans are "always against America".
The Dems had a liberal running against a popular Republican with an arch-conservative as his running mate ... Biden was largely irrelevant. The American people have spoken. Your side lost. Instead of being arrogant and heavy-handed, hopefully the Democrats realize things are cyclical and work with the other side to get things done (even though they now have a mandate, not to be confused with a "man-date", which was banned in California ha).

Do what you gotta do man. I think things get ugly when people are always filled with hate, whether it be against Obama or against Bush. There is a large middle ground in America, one which Obama won by being above the fray.

not for nothing but if you look at the state of the US when Bush came into office, and the way he will be leaving it in January can you blame liberals for supporting Bush the way they did... look at oil alone.. when Bush was sworn in crude oil was a little more than $20 a barrel, it remained over $100 a barrel consistently for a while and only recently came back down.. sitting today at about $61
I find your opinions regarding liberals fairly ignorant. If I may ask you a question: were the Founding Fathers of this Great Country not liberals? If they were conservative then they certainly wouldn’t have written the Declaration of Independence; which states, and I shall quote the great document: “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” I am sure anyone that has a basic understanding of these men will admit that they were not - “too broadminded to take his own side in a quarrel.”, and for the founders that were over the 40 years of age mark, they certainly still had a brain. If those men were conservative they would not have made a government of the people, by the people, and for the people; and they would not have had a war with their mother country.
Was the greatest president this country ever had, President Lincoln, not a liberal? Did he not free the slaves? Aye some will say, and it is true, that he said he would do what ever he needed to do to save the union; save or keep the slaves; but he did free the slaves. Or was President Roosevelt not a liberal? Was he acting in a conservative way when he said that business cannot be allowed to run the country and did all he can to destroy trusts? Did he not save more forests and natural wonders in this country then anyone else? If anyone else was elected they would have let the loggers cut down whatever they wish. Or how about when he created the FDA, and demanded that every citizen in this Great Country be given a Square Deal? And as for Ann Coulter, President Franklin D. Roosevelt was a very liberal man, and yet he was the one who defeated the Nazis, and took this country from a great depression to economic prosperity. And I shall remind you that the great depression happened under the watch of conservative Republicans: Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover. And was President John F. Kennedy supporting the Soviet Union, as Ann Coulter stated? Last time I checked President Kennedy was a war hero from World War II, and stopped the Cubans from getting ICBMs installed on their island.
Now I would like no one to think that I hate conservatives or that they are worthless, ect… on the contrary I think President Ragen was a great man, as was Ike, and I wouldn’t have anyone other then Pete King represent me in Congress. But I don’t see how anyone with half a mind, and without ignoring American history, can just go and say liberals are essential worthless and, if left to their own devices will destroy this country.

Hoes humper 53% is not a strong majority. If the polls had been 53-47 it would have been called a statistical dead heat before the election. A strong majority is what Reagan had for both terms and the elder Bush had when he won. I don't remember what Clinton had for his second term, but I know for his first term he did not even have a majority because of the popularity of Perot. So it is possible that htis country has not had a strong majority in 20 years. I would love it if the next election had one, but I do not beleive it will be for Obama, and it might not be his fault. With that communist Pelosi running the house and Reid in the senate, I beleive that taxes are going to go through the roof. As well as New York state with a democratic govenor, assembly and senate.
My God...what have the people done...November 4th, 2008 was one of the darkest days in American History...its historical yes...for the sole fact that he is the first black president....thats where it ends...i fell asleep around 10pm that night...and woke up at 11pm to see "Obama elected president" flashing on the screen...I was sick to my stomach hoping i was dreaming...unfortunately it was for Real...i watched mobs of people in a euphoric like state mumbling "change"...what a crock...to simply say "he is now the Pres so deal with it" is grossly inadequate...things are gonna get BAD real BAD...i am terribly fearful of what is to come...Biden himself predicted bad things...that alone should have ended Obamas run...there are so many reasons this shouldnt have happened...I'll watch what I say because the truth of our current situation when spoken openly appears racist to some...the reality is he just doesnt have differing politics...he is a radical and dangerous person...He was right about one thing though...We will have to cling to guns and religion for comfort now...well at least the next 4 years...
oh and btw, i am a republican and did vote for McCain, however, in regards to the youtube video a few posts above..did any of you learn about propoganda in school? As far as Lincoln and the founding fathers, I don't know if they were liberal or conservative. I do know the Federalist Papers would have to be viewed as conservative leaning, in that they argue against a strong national government--a hallmark of liberalism.

Michael Savage (surprisingly) wasn't a fan of George Bush, but I doubt highly that he's thrilled over the new President-elect. Haven't had a chance to listen to him for a while now. I guess he and the other conservative talk-radio hosts will have a lot of fodder over the next 4 years. Obama is job security. LOL
