Thank ya...
Besides the "nonsense" things, the important things- why does
ANYONE outside of anyone's shop know anything about "something" before proper notification is made? LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS!
(PS-It HAS happened on the Rant, but not often)
Godforbid I get f*cked up- I want someone my loved ones know to tell them. Not see it posted on a website, OR transmitted over the radio....
Keep the same respect for
ALL members of service. Again, this isnt a "Rant" thing, it isnt a
FD radio thing, it isnt a
PD or VAC radio thing- just THINK for 1 second.... "The message I have to relay to marshals/family/firecom/"Hq" etc could just as easily be relayed via cell phone, with
2 people hearing the particulars instead of
2,000.
We all love each other, are brothers & sisters & are concerned whenever "shit goes bad". But 1 second of thinking before a radio message goes out, or 10 minutes of "waiting" to hear the "real deal" will solve a lotta BS down the road....
....Yet another "prime example"... "injured member enroute to XYZ Hospital"...
We're
ALL concerned, but, a twisted ankle on ice quickly turns into a full-blown cardiac arrest through the "telephone" game...
Again, as always, think before ya speak.
When ya need the calvary, call em! When ya dont, DONT!
We all tend to "over-react" on things- thats our nature, we protect our own.
But someone getting a side-view mirror to the back at 15 MPH vs. someone getting a front bumper at 45 MPH is a WORLD of difference!
"Dont put me in the ground before my time".... Lotta good guys & gals have come back from some bad shit. DONT be a "Ranter" or "Rumor King"-
Be a BROTHER- get facts, and tell what you KNOW, NOT what you HEARD.
