With the growth of the Rant, we've had an influx of users who appear to be more interested in posting anything just to see their Rank increase...and unfortunately, that has led to just way too much useless garbage to wade through for the rest of us. Enough is enough.
The goal here on the Rant is for the useful exchange of information, so we've disabled the Ranks (for the time being) in the hope that the biggest offenders (you know who you are) will limit their forum posts to useful contributions to the topic at hand. That being said, the majority of the top posters (by post count) here on the Rant are EXCELLENT, LONG-TIME contributors to the Rant. It's the more recent members going all-out to "catch up" that brought this about.
For endless chitchat, there's always Halligans, and of course the Call Box at the bottom of the Rant.
