We're discussing reasons why not to vote for Obama
Hoes Humper-please explain this. Sounds like a dictator in the early 1930's...Remember the SS?
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
Civilian Security force isn't an inherent Nazi concept ... having an army doesn't make you a Nazi bc they had an army does it? honestly I'm not 100 percent sure what he's describing but I think that anyone concerned that Obama will be a dictator in the US is a tad bit paranoid ... yeah just a little bit!

Are you aware of the federal agencies we have in place already? FBI, ATF, ICE, DEA etc? Are these entities not good enough? No longer functioning?
NYC has around 20,000 cops(traffic and aux not included)+ATF,DEA,FBI, Postal service, UNPD, US Marshal's etc etc etc. What would be the function of this "National force"??

Okay Red Curtains, you're obviously correct here. Obama wants to be Hitler, but it will be worse because he is a Muslim. This National Security Civilian Corps. will obviously force us all to pray to Mecca and Medina 5 times a day, etc.

On that note. I forgot where I saw this, but a former head of the FBI said they wouldn't hire Obama to work for them because of his affiliations. He wants to be president? He'd never get my vote. I walk the line b/w democrat and republican, this time it's definitely not democrat.
Absolute truth. As an officer candidate I had to fill out an EPSQ, which asks you tons of questions regarding your family, foreign interests, association with terrorists, alcohol/gambling/drug issues, etc. This information packet is used to determine if you are eligible for a security clearance. If I would have put that I knew that Ayers dude on my app, I would not be a commissioned officer today. Fact.

If you think we don't already have enough race issues in this country you are sadly out of touch with reality. Just b/c it's relatively peaceful here on affluent Long Island doesn't mean that all is well.
There is still a contingent of society that has no desire to see a black man as President of the United States, and and even larger one that doesn't want a black man with a Muslim name. I forsee problems.

Whiskey, I will say on the record right here that if a "race war" is started by people in the South who want to overthrow the American government if Obama is elected then I'm on the side of the US-of-A (and hence, Obama)! I won't vote for or refuse to vote for a candidate simply because American terrorists like the KKK would seek to cause problems.

Whiskey: I'm not saying anything about your personal reasons not to vote for Obama. Those are legit, we just disagree. But you mentioned a possible race war as a fear of yours and I think its unfounded. Sure, there will be those who wish him harm, but a "race war" would imply an armed conflict between Americans ... how strong do you think these neo-Secessionist forces will be?

I think the real risk Obama poses to Republicans is that if he does the opposite of a Jimmy Carter and is a really effective President, or really popular at least ... then you're in trouble probably from a purely political standpoint.

They support this guy who boasts no accomplishments whatsoever (either in the Illinois Senate or the U.S. Senate), he associates closely with some of the most unsavory radical characters (from Rev Wright, to Ayers, to Rezko and even the PLO guy).
Obama wabnts to wage war on corporate American, take profits, raise capital gains taxes and income taxes, because HE feels the Supreme Court should have gotten into redistribution of wealth during the Warren era. He has no concenpt of the US Military, and I suspect he harbors a hidden dislike and distaste for them, as most radicals do.

Believe it or not, John McCain has a much larger, and REAL connection with the "PLO guy" you are talking about. A group lead in part by McCain funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to the "PLO guy" for "research".

Rezko is just a dirty/shady character (think a Jack Abramoff Lite, with no calories or carbohydrates), not a radical! If Rezko is the dirtiest character Obama has come accross in a decade and a half of politics, I think that is probably a record for cleanest associations ever!
Jeremiah Wright represents the past, where racial divisions were more bitter and in the context of people not having the same rights as Americans because of their skin color. Think Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. They really, really don't like Obama that much b/c he's kinda the benefactor of all the work put in by more radical leaders before him, and doesn't buy into the radical racial rhetoric. In point of fact, if Obama wins the election, while vindicating much of the work of civil rights leaders past, it will make them less relevant NOW. In case you hadn't noticed, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton care most about being relevant, not necessarily the causes they purport to support!
Finally, William Ayres is the centerpiece of McCain's campaign, not Obama's (well, before Joe the Bummer came around, he was at least)!
