We're discussing reasons why not to vote for Obama
I'll try to be "optimistic" here and say that at least I, and all the conservative talk show hosts, will have plenty to bitch about over the next four years.
The libs want to limit the # of conservative radio and television shows!!! Bye bye 1st amendment.
I find it funny how a month ago Sen. Obama was "in the lead" with as much as 13 points and according to most of the 24 hour news networks as recent as yesterday, its now within 3 points and some states even neck and neck..
I think (and hope) its another prime example of the "yes man" theory.. that in a telephone survey, telephone poll, online survey, etc.. people will tell you anything you want to hear because it sounds good and politically correct..
However, when you really think about it.. you enter that booth, close the curtain, and its just you and your thoughts.. and a few slogans and other quippets are running through your head.. "Who is the lesser of two evils?" "Does it matter that Sarah Palin is an SNL sensation?" "Barack's middle name is Hussein, is he related to Saddam?!"
Just think about what really matters most. Your family, career, home, friends, our Troops, the Fire Service, and ability to have a productive and fulfilling life..

I don't like Obama, but I did some research into the National Anthem thing. He said he was simply taught as a kid that you put your hand over your heart for the Pledge of Allegiance, but stand at attention for the National Anthem. That's fine with me. Personally, I don't do the hand over the heart thing for the National Anthem. I think it's gay. If I'm in uniform, I salute. If not, I assume the position of attention.
As long as the guy is standing proudly, facing the flag, I don't see the problem.
