Did Rockville Center have a fire on Park Avenue tonight around 6:30PM? I had my radio locked on Long Beach nad forgot to put it back on scan. I heard a Command Post and East Rockaway go mutual aid but nothing else.
Additionally BNN put it over as a working fire but with little info.
we were at the RVC tourney when this call came in....BUFFED it on the scanner...they had an electrical fire in an underground transformer I believe...it presented fire and smoke in such a way that it was unclear what they had at first...i believe E-442 was in first...the M/a from Lynbrook was for Fans I dunno what east rockaway was for I think 1 eng 1 amb...the m/a maybe b/c they were hosting the tourney...
there was no signal 10 transmitted but it could have easily been from what i heard...
tl254 is correct. We had a fire and small explosion in an under ground transformer. It was showing fire prior to arrival and smoke on arrival. TL447 was in first E442 second and stretched a line. Smoke in surrounding commercial basements And very High co levels. Some power outages and we evacuated the area businesses. Mutual aid for fans, and standby, One member of rescue was treated for minor eye injury from opening a ceiling. Some smoldering at an electrical panel in one location no 10 was transmitted, were on scene approx 1.5 hours. Correct address was i/f/o 28 S. Park avenue, and then other affected addresses on same block

So if no 10 was transmitted why is this still an open thread?
PEOPLE i THOUGHT THIS WAS FOR ACTUAL ,CONFIRMED SIG 10'S... MAYBE WE SHOULD REPOST THE RULES OF THIS THREAD AGAIN.. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING AND ASK THIS BE MOVED TO THE NOTEBOOK
i didnt want to bring this up agaio but crazys right, if your not sure of a 10 put it in the general intrest and if it is a 10 someone will move it, this is satrting to get annoying.........
relax people if there was some fire and some smoke and no 10 was given who cares the brothers would still like to here about it.Should there be a post for 9 1/2's
listen this has been goin on for a while. i dont have a problem with peorpl posting 35's or almost 10's or 9 1/2's but instead of clicking on TRANSMIT THE TEN, click on the notebook sction, just gets anyying when u sign on and 2 of the 5 new jobs arent real. a sloution to this. 1. dont jump the gun and write something that sounds like a 10 when it first goes over a radio. 2. if your not sure post in the general intrest page. and belive me if it was a 10 the BOSS or one of the moderators will move it......... :banghead:

yeah, just like they have moved this one out of the "transmit the 10" LOL.
Right about now this should be going to the Waaaambulance board.

because i think they all like listening to us bitching and moaning, or perhaps they just dont even look ne more. perhaps its time for someone else to become a moderator???? overthrow the moderators perhaps???????? :angryfire:
