Scanner Problems

I NEED SOME ONE TO HELP ME OUT WITH MY SCANNER

IT RANDOMLY TURNS OFF AND IT IS HARD TO TURN BACK ON, THE BATTERIES ARE FULLY CHARGED AND I USUALLY HAVE TO HIT IT A COUPLE TIMES AND IT TURNS BACK ON.

COULD IT BE A SHORT OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT, I WANT TO TRY TO CATCH THE PROBLEM SO ITS NOT OUT FOR A WEEK OF REPAIR

what kind of scanner is it??
does it use AA's or a pack??

I TOOK IT APART AND CHECKED ALL THE WIRES THEY WERE FINE, AND SINCE THEN ITS BEEN FINE SO I GUESS I FIXED IT WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING
