FYI: Brady's Paramedic Care Text that is required for EMT-CC @ VEEB & FPA has recently released a new Edition, Ed 3. Not sure if VEEB or FPA is going to switch just yet, but just a word of caution for those thinking of securing the text books prior to the class. Would kind of suck if you drop $250 on Ed 2 and they want you to have 3....

If you are going to buy the Brady text, I would STRONGLY suggest that you buy the five book set if it is still being offered in that format, rather than the single one. Reason? At least for the 2nd edition, it is FREAKIN' HEAVY!!! Over 2000, yes 2000, pages!!! I saw both options last year and thought "who would want five books when you can have just one"? Now I know! That book, combined with Rapid Interpretations of EKGs, the BLS, ALCS, PALS, and other texts will tax the most sturdy book-bag/knapsack out there! Just my .02.

Just got my "acceptance" letter from VEEB yesterday and it looks like they are now using a completely different text for this class. It states that we are to obtain "Nancy Caroline's Emergency Care in the Streets, Sixth Edition", which seems to be the book originally asked about by the original poster...

Go figure...
