That is now the same for RVC .. we were in the process of switching Firecom over to our UHF system prior to black Saturday. The infrastructure was already in place at our HQ and that was what facilitated our easy switch to Long beach while FC was down. We will continue simulcasting on our low band for a year or two until we have been able to conquer the budget woes and buy enough high band pagers.

Do all your members have the same type of pagers?

No. Everything from 2's on up. Though the 5's seem to have bad rx...even in our primary response areas...

Firecom Toned Out Levittown Today Instead of Phoning It In To Us Like They Have Been Doing Since The Storm. Not Sure What Caused It, Maybe A Test, But They Did It Only For 1 of 3 Calls Today We Got From Them..... Anyone Hear Anything Down In The Hole About It?

that was brought to you thanks to one of our more intelligent staffers, and we wonder why we get a bad rep.

I personally think its great hearing the firecom tones again. It provides a quicker response and is a great thing. I wish you guys would start toning out all the time again like we did before the storm.........

thats not the point, the point is Firecom isn't supposed to be toning out Levittown at this time, unfortunately some people haven't cought on to what they are supposed to be doing. That was an error so don't get too used to hearing that just yet. I'm sure when all systems have been straightened out they will go back to the way it once was.
