yo i never mad fun of your department and your members...so i really dont know why you have to make fun of the guys in franklin square....we are a VOLUNTEER fire department sorry we are not the BEST like you guys....what i said about hempstead was not meant to make fun of any of you at all...we love coming to you guys when we get called and wheneva we get something we try and call you guys i really dont think there is a need to make fun of the members...we are all brothers here...doesnt matter if you get 60 jobs or 5 a year....you guys really shouldnt be sayin stuff about us like that....all i said was i wouldnt want to live in hempstead thats all....honestly ive delt with your chiefs who are really good people and some guys...just dont think there is a need to bash us.....you guys are a very busy volunteer fire department prolly the busiest no one is taking that away from you guys....i think in franklin square we are very well trained and good firemen mayber we dont see alot of work but that doesnt mean we shyt firemen....stay safe.
Before you get all bent out of shape, they werent calling FSM bad firemen. they were joking around about the boots(of a certain member) that another dept. would have to fill if W. Hemp. wasnt called. But now that your upset maybe you can understand why a few of your BROTHER firemen were upset about what you had to say about where they live. Grow up.

This thread is pointless. Everyone gets fires or we wouldn't be in this business. Does it matter that some departments get 1 per year, some get 10 and some get 30? We're all here to do the same job and we're all good at what we do.
Seems to me just a group of friends who are looking out for each others interests and not letting someone get the best of there town or there dept....let it be bro

Anybody can say they wouldn't want to live in a certain town because of whatever reason. Everytown has their bad areas, different people have different preferences, but just to come out on here and start bashing hempstead for no apparent reason is wrong. A lot of ranters and great fireman live and are also fireman there. Franklin square is not greatest area either, and from what I've seen they don't have the greatest fireman. listen guys- we'll all buffs in here, or we wouldn't be vollies. We all like a good job, but in the real of it, I don't know any firefighter that wants to see anyones house or bussiness burn down, I sure don't. Im doing this for 25 years and I know hundreds of vollies on long island and NYS, and they'll all agree with me, no one want to see that.
