THIS IS AN EDIT FROM A POST/THREAD FROM LAST YEAR. AT THE TIME IT WAS WRITTEN THE THREAD HAD A CERTAIN "TONE" TO IT. JUST PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE IMPORTANT POINTS HERE!!!

• ALMOST Everything is going to be fairly new to you. PAY ATTENTION!!!!
• GUYS please don't talk about your blue lights, last weeks working fire where you hit the hydrant, or knocking guys/girls in your department. LADIES please do not show up in low cut tops, flip flops, and twirl your hair all night.
• Come prepared EVERY NIGHT. Seriously are you gonna carry someone down a flight of stairs in flip flops?? You will be doing CPR and other skills on your knees and on concrete. If we do patient care scenarios outside, how long are you going to whine you are cold? Where is YOUR stethoscope/pocket mask/BP cuff EVERY NIGHT???
• When you are not involved in the scenario, how about PAYING ATTENTION!! The instructor is their to facilitate your learning, not to babysit you!!!
• When you're on a break the guys/girls spend a ridiculous amount of time bullshitting, flirting and smoking. EMT school is NOT 13th grade!! It is a place to learn the skills you will need to save a life!!! Maybe stick around and ask you instructor a few questions. Maybe review your notes and see why you maybe did something incorrectly or how you could do it better next time.

IT IS INCUMBENT ON YOU THE EMT STUDENT TO COME TO CLASS PREPARED AND READY TO LEARN.

To add to KYE's Statement:
Don't Ask the Instructor if you can:
- Hurry Up and Finish the Class / Lab because you have a 10:15 date.
- Take a 30 Minute Break and then just blow thru the rest of the stuff.

We have a set plan/schedule to follow. And follow it we will. If we finish early, guess what?! You always need practice taking Vitals and doing Pt Assessment. It's something you will do EVERY RUN.
