Didn't look like a Backdraft to me. That fire looked WELL vented before explosion, but hey you never know.

i agree it didn't look like backdraft conditions...however the camera man nailed ....HOLY SHIT!!!!!

If it was backdraft wouldn't we see the smoke being sucked back into the building right before the explosion?

i think the History channel put this on their new show "Shock-wave".

supposedly an interior wall collapsed causing a rush of air into a closed off room, which happened to be on fire, and that caused the backdraft... or it was a separating wall between two businesses... something like that

but i don't believe that whole heartedly
