Where Can an EMT See some action on LI?

Port Washington Fire medics, they run alot and you can be a member and live almost anywhere.

I didn't know REMSCO approved/denied where any department is on the response sheet, I thought it was just NCPD CB / EAB and/or Firecom.

Could someone be so kind as to translate what the numbers mean? i thought they referred to military times before i read "3300".

"3300" as in 742-3300 which is firecom's emergency line

since I am not a resident of the areas you all suggest, i will probably be hanging out at the 'house' a lot during a 6 or 8 hr shift. Are any of the 'houses' better than the others?

the places we have all suggested don't have any residency requirements...

Thanks. I understand that there are no residency requrements, but is the station of one department better to spend time at than another?

they are all pretty much equivalent....all of these places you go and you hang out in the duty room, watch tv, sleep on the couch...the usual...the point is most of these places are busy though and you could spend 8 hours on 6, 7 or 8 calls where in a slower place you're lucky to get one or 2

all good suggestions EMTuknowme except the one they call wantagh-levittown. not trying to start anything just letting u know. also they do not answer calls between 7am and 7pm weekdays. calls the PD cant handle through 911 go to the wantagh FD and Levittown FD which both run 3 ambulances. and i do think MVAC will be on the rise. they are pretty busy now i think they are starting to get busier.

Or try FDNY-EMS South Bronx, Bed Stuy, Harlem, they are all busy .... LOL
