It makes no sense, just like when many members use "23" as another option for "yes." (Ex: "999 do you have a Signal 14 at scene?"..."23") A Signal 23 is "Message Received" according to Nassau County designated radio signals. It doesnt necessarily mean in the affirmative. I know this should probably be in the radio column and not here but I thought about it as soon as I saw the other post.
My absolute favorite, firecom so and so is 22 signal 40??? how are you 22?? ive said this a million times on this rant and yet i still have the privilege of hearing it on the radio.......
I hope we've worked out the need to still say "Have your crew Scott'ed up and ready to go." over the air. Give me ####ing break. Might as well tell everyone to wear clean underwear and comb their hair as well.
My all time favorite.. XXX is 21 captain m7 pump operator dept secretary ... 4 mins later.. XXX repeat the 40 please..... PAY ATTENTION!!!!!! :banghead:
My favorite was going 22 after we were 13... that was the day when high band was so low that 6 saw us going to the mall and they were already on their way back.....
